Pulled A Wizard of Earthsea down from the shelf and re-read it over the weekend. K and other family members have expressed interest in the trilogy, having seen trailers for the upcoming miniseries

Also, it would be nice if they would hire someone who knew the difference between "prophecies" and "prophesies."

It's just possible that the person does know, but doesn't know how to spell them...

I share your reservations, in any case.

The writer is Gavin Scott; he created the low-budget yet ambitious TV series The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne, which I rather liked. I would like to see him apply his talents to something more, er, filmable.

The producers include the senior and junior Robert Halmis, who have extruded a long list of fantasy miniseries in the last decade.
