It's impressive that we can still provide her with a few traumatic childhood memories

So I seem to have added Once Upon a Time to my viewing schedule, sort of. I caught a marathon a week ago and while I'm still confused on whether ABC cut the episodes differently for the marathon or if I actually watched more than one episode without realizing it because it seemed to me they mashed four storylines (Storybrooke, pre-curse FTL, post- ( Read more... )

Oh, Once Upon a Time! I fell for this show HARD and it's currently occupying most of my fandom feelings. Belle is wonderful and I loved finding out more about her backstory in the last episode. Kind of nervous about the way it ended, but I have faith that this show will do right by her. It hasn't failed me yet when it comes to giving female characters agency.

does fic exist which expands on Charming and Gold's search for Belle in "The Crocodile"

I do not know of a story like that, but L O L! I laughed so hard at Gold asking Charming for dating advice (the blind leading the blind, much?) and I certainly wouldn't mind more of that. Charming is my favourite boy on the show, because he's just the most unbelievable dork. (Regina is my favourite of them all, because yeah, I am just that predictable. I'm sorry my favourite imprisoned your favourite for 28 years.)

The show continues to grow on me! I have to admit I was a bit worried about the premise at first, but I ended up loving how the female characters are all strong in different ways.

I think the recurring thread of Gold and Charming discussing their love lives (or lack thereof) is something that I'm hoping will pop up again -- their moment in "Skin Deep" where David's so distracted by buying two valentines that he completely misses the fact that Gold's buying serial killer staples always makes me laugh.

Regina is totally growing on me, I just wish her Storybrooke story didn't include Henry simply because Henry and the actor who plays him bugs me. He's one of those characters whose purpose in the story I understand (and in certain fics I like him), but on screen he irritates me. I feel if they had cast the kid who plays Bae as Henry, I might like the character a bit more, but alas, they did not.
