Ha! The only one of these characters I recognise is Gwen Cooper. I didn't like her much in series 1 of Torchwood, but I really came to love her in series 2 and especially 3. Enough that I'm actually looking forward to series 4 quite a lot. Gwen/Rhys is a wonderful, wonderful thing!

I'm surprised how much I'm looking forward to more adventures with Gwen in S4 as well! I love Jack, but I'd totally watch the adventures of Gwen, Rhys and Baby!Cooper-Williams as they fight aliens while changing diapers.

I'm sad to say you did not miss much if you stopped watching around that time. However if you're in the camp that thinks Dan is only interesting when he's around Blair, you totally need to check out the latter half of this season. I'm not expecting the storyline to end well, but together they are so much fun! (I can't believe I'm recommending the show, or rather a storyline, again!)

I actually forgot about Gray (at least that's how they spell it on Wikipedia) until you mentioned him!
