Everybody catch up on the Checkmate 'Verse, because another ficlet is rattling around in my head. (Actually the next one is done, but I'm holding off to let everyone read this weekend's offerings

In an effort to recreate my former request ...
I'm loving these stories. I would love to see a story which has cat!John *laughing*! Rodney gets himself whumped by Teyla whilst sparring or something happens in a lab or something and Rodney ends up looking like a drowned rat and John just kills himself laughing. I don't even know *how* you would show that but I'd love to see it!
And there would have to be some cat!John comforting Rodney when he gets all huffy about John laughing about whatever it was!
These have all been utterly charming -- I'm so glad there are more in the works.
My vote would be for the vignettes (esp. Zelenka, but any of them would be lovely), and for the drowned-rat!Rodney, which conveniently is easily combinable with choice 3, namely cat!John hunting the odd fish or two.
I am looking forward to them all but especially 5) and 4) :)
It has been adorable in the stories so far when instinct naturally takes over. It would be interesting to see John purposely deciding to do cat stuff just for the hell of it - ties in with Heightmeyer's suggestion - and maybe learning something about himself in the process. Or conversely, he struggles against an instinct that he really doesn't want to carry out.
If he is sneaking around Atlantis just imagine what he could overhear/see. Maybe he could try his hand at matchmaking!
I am enjoying this universe so much and knowing that you have stuff in the pipeline is so exciting :D
I have only read everything once so far - I am saving re-reading for when I need a treat. I will leave feedback at this point as I often find it hard to leave feedback straight away on a story I have really enjoyed for fear of saying something really lame. It does make me feel very remiss in the meantime though. Maybe I just need to throw off my inhibitions and master the keyboard smash and squeeing!!
Keyboard smash! Aaaaaaa! :;smashes: I totally know what you mean! Right after you read a fic and are all flail-y. I love those kinds of ,adfhoiudslee! emails, but the once that say, "I really loved this because...." are so awesome. Getting to know what touches my readers is de-lish.
Either way is awesome! Whenever you feel so moved.

I've already decided that John is completely grossed out by the idea of raw meat. He doesn't even like sushi.
Thanks for the things to think about!
