Letting off steam

I have to say that my environmental studies course, which I am taking as an elective of interest, is really paying off. Not only do I love the material (it's me), but I'm also exposed to many, how shall I say?, opportunities. Opportunities, especially, to get some fresh energy and ideas.

Yeah, it feels like things are balancing somewhat. More people aware, I guess. Lots of angry voters who feel lied to! Also more people getting connected somehow. Its scary though, how many people think green(ish) but don't live *at all* that way. But then, I did not for years, as it was too hard to fight social pressures / find time for the most basic of steps.

I guess you did not follow this link the other day. They are reforesting a barren valley in Scotland with native trees. You might find it particularly inspiring. I certainly did, and want to go up there and contribute time at some point, in memory of a good friend of mine who would have loved it. http://www.carrifran.org.uk/

Actually, I did follow the link, and I think that that's great news. I have read a little about how the highland native and ancient forests are very small as compared to what they used to be. Hopefully they can restore the native ecosystem over and above the trees.
