"Trams returned to the streets of the city in January 2000 operating on a two-line system based around the Perrache main line rail station and bus interchange. This formed the initial phase but there are now plans for a massive expansion totalling up to 37km, including a link to the main airport.

That's cool! I would be afraid, though, of folks thinking the tracks an anomoly, and picnicking on the rails.
