got home Saturday night - I had a great time, I've really missed hanging out with Leah and Esther. Also we had discussions about sex in the Bible. This included a long argument about whether or not Ruth and Boaz had sex, premarital sex and whether the Bible actually condemns it, and the following conversation:

And, um, after you mentioned this I went and read Ruth, and not only is it highly sexual, there is some lovely gender reversal - Ruth is gleaning Boaz' fields. And he tells her "do not go to glean in anyone else's field"; aka, "let's be exclusive". Also she goes to sleep in his winnowing floor, and covers herself with his cloak. It's not quite a tent, but pretty close!
