So! I voted for Sybil, even though I have no idea who she is. (Though it has been pointed out to me that I need to watch Downtown Abbey because it pretty much EXACTLY the sort of thing I'm into.) Anyway. I highly approve of her and her apparent awesomeness.
Also: voting in that bracket thingy has only served to remind me how out-of-touch I am with popular culture. I think I'd seen, like...maybe eight of the shows listed? Tops?
Anyway, I voted for the ladies when I could, but I am just a big believer in the fantastic awesome that is Julian Sark. (What can I say? I have a thing for evil... *see icon*)
:DDD You should watch it sometime! It's a bit soap-opera-y, but mostly it's really interesting, and I love almost all the characters - seriously, Sybil barely edges out like six other people for "favorite character" with me (Cousin Violet! Anna! MARY, omg. Cora is amazing. Gwen is fantastic. Matthew is awesome, and - well, everyone!)
Hee, yeah. I noticed a trend - I knew a lot of the shows in the sci-fi bracket, but in all the others I was just like "...." at all the shows except for one or two. Me and my predictableness, really. :P And yay for going for ladies a lot! I have never seen Julian Sark, but I've heard Things about his awesomeness, so I approve.
I VOTED FOR COUSIN VIOLET BECAUSE SHE IS THE BEST. But I may need to switch, because I really want Downton to knock Southland out of the running, and it looks like Sybil is our best shot.
omg, Cousin Violet. *flaily hands* I loved so many of the characters it was hard for me to pick, but Sybil edges them out a tiiiiny bit, and then I didn't change my vote when I was going "but MARY! but VIOLET! but CORA! but ANNA! but GWEN!" because I realized Sybil was the best chance we had. It is so close! if Southland fandom stops splitting their vote we might be doomed. :(
Downton Abbey has been sitting in my hard drive for awhile. This post has be all excited to watch it!
I genderswap-cast Jessica Brown-Findlay as Rilian based on her role in Misfits and on seeing clips of her as Sybil. Looks very much like I didn't go wrong! :D
So, I got here too late to vote for Sybil (alas), but I did want to drop by to tell you that your post inspired me to watch Downton Abbey and I just got through the episode that that fabulous GIF is from and all I can is SYBIL. HEARTS IN MY EYES. Though I pretty much feel that way about EVERYBODY in this show. Except maybe Thomas.
(Also, love Branson in the window right there. :D)
