Originally, this was going to involve a lot of talking, but I decided to keep that to a minimum.
Nikita is a wonderful show, clever, interesting, good plots, and multiple women, all with fascinating interactions. Their relationships are varied and complex - the men in the show are important too, but undeniably play second seat to the two main female ( Read more... )

Hell to the yes on everything you said! I'm in love with this show, and this is a gorgeous picspam. Would you mind if I linked my f-list to it? I'm pretty sure there are only two of us watching Nikita right now, which is frankly unacceptable ;)

Alex, her side-kick/mentoree/best friend/(girlfriend).

Ah, so you see it too, then? :P The subtext is off the charts at times!

I love that you included Jill in your list, too - 'Kill Jill' is easily one of my favourite epis.

Thanks very much for taking the time to do this :)

I wouldn't mind at all! The more people who watch this show, the better!

and oh man, yes, the subtext is... sometimes hardly subtext.

JILL. I loved every second of her, because she was terrified and she didn't know how to fight at all, but that didn't mean she wasn't a strong character. She was so epic! I would love to have her come back. :D

I was pointed to this by readthesubtext. amazing post, and glad to see Sarah and Jill make the cut too. I love all the various female representations on this show. Strong, eager, scary, scared, determined, out of her league. It's such a rich complex female powered show, the guys really are just there for (not that cute) window dressings.

Alex, her side-kick/mentoree/best friend/(girlfriend).
partner in life! hells to the yea on the amazing eye chemistry subtext, but more importantly, I love how much these two girls genuinely love and care for each other, femslash only secondary to that.
