:DDD oooooh what are you planning on vidding? I use Windows Live Media Maker, which is actually free. Obviously you've got to have the videos you want to clip from. The basics are fairly simple to figure out - tutorials actually mostly confused me rather than helped. But if you have any questions I can try to answer them, and I do have the tutorials I found here.
