Did you see who else played at Massey Hall? I have that record, it's incredible. Mingus, Diz, Bird, Bud Powell and Max Roach. How's that for a fuckin' lineup? There's a lot of problems with the recording, if I remember correctly. I think Mingus' bass was overdubbed later because of sound problems. I THINK I remember reading that Bird showed up late, and with a plastic horn because he'd hocked his own for smack.
