Evil woman! Now I'm convinced the Swans are up to something.
You've come up with a lovely way of binding a relationship that I haven't read before. It's beautifully visual, and the symbolism is appealing. I love the walk and the basket - and it fits in with the way you've portrayed the Ravens before. Especially like the way the gifts aren't what they seem on the face of it, that there's a hidden meaning to each present. (I see a fantasy novel in the making, but I would, right?)
And I'm still not entirely convinced about Kai.
The scene between Jaejoong and Changmin was precious and hinted at all the backstory that wasn't shown in the first two tales. There's a whole pre-finding Yunho 'verse in just a few words and I dig that big time.
Yep... this works for me. Now for taking down a Swan king, right?
They can try whatever they want, but they will not be successful. Don't worry about Kai. His loyalty to Heechul is secure.
I'd love to turn this binding walk into a fantasy novel. Maybe someday.
It's a painful story of unrequited love on Jaejoong's part and the realization that the person you love with all your heart does not love you back, so yeah, not going to write Jaejoong's pain. Just enough for people to know it's there.
Taking down? More like putting him in his place. :)
Your Jae in this isn't overly dramatic or precious, but really rather down-to-earth, sensual and with a hefty pinch of playful. All of which makes me imagine the "unrequited" story as very soft and quiet. He's also grown up knowing about Yunho and Changmin's quest for his intended.
Your Heechul, on the other hand, is unexpected and despite the snark and airs very insightful. I've had a lovely time last night imagining him helping Jae, not forget the feelings, but put them behind him and forge something new and strong. Oh, the fantasy muse is having a field day. Thank you!
A lot of Jaejoong's personality in this fic comes from knowing that his parents sacrificed themselve for his life and not wanting to disappoint them. It is also because he grew up with Changmin, has been by Changmin's side for a long time.
I like the idea of Heechul being mysterious ... *grins*
Oh why oh why! The teasing possibilities of Jaemin. Jaejoong hinting that he wanted to be the one made my heart clench so bad. I'm glad they're both happy. I'm glad they're all happy. And I am bitter that Kai is that strong. The basket idea is amazing.
I'm bitter about Kai because I'm blindly biased towards JJ in here and I don't want anyone to be close to his power, but also because he gets to frick frack with Taemin and I can't watch.
