Honestly? If you haven't been impressed by now, then you're not likely to be impressed by the future episodes, sorry to say. I love Glee, but I'm the first to admit that the show's writing is uneven at best. It's not the kind of show that you should think too hard about while watching, or else you come up with a billion plot holes and instances of inconsistent characterisation. There is also too much focus on the leads for a show that is billed as featuring an ensemble cast. I mainly watch for Kurt, Sue, Brittany and Artie (and I identify with Emma to a scary degree) - I don't care much about Finn, Rachel or Will.

There are some genius moments coming up for you - basically every moment of 1x09 is brilliant, for example (and just demonstrates how good the show CAN be when it tries). But if you're not hooked by now, then I don't think it's going to happen, sorry. Different strokes for different folks, as they say. :D

poor whatsiface, the cute tall one, is so boring i want to spork my eyes out.

I think you mean Finn, and I can't stand him either.

I really had a hard time getting into to it at first, but once I just watched it for what it was and wasn't expecting anything especially clever or especially well-written, I liked it. The episodes are also very uneven. There were some that I stared at the TV afterwards and went, "...I just spent an hour of my life sitting here?", but others I loved.
