Oooh! I wanna know what an Espresso Martini is like. That sounds super yum!

My head canons tend to change with the wind and what I want to write but here are the things I generally think:

Clint is not a fan of wine (though he'll drink it on occasion) or hard liquor (though he'll drink it at 'events' because it's the manly thing to do) but is mostly a beer guy. He rarely, if ever, over indulges. He tends to nurse his booze.

Nat has a high tolerance but CAN get drunk, though she only ever lets her guard down enough to do that when around Clint because she knows he has her back. She's not picky and drinks whatever is appropriate to the occasion - beer, wine, hard stuff, fruity drinks. She likes to drink the fruity stuff around Clint because she knows it amuses him. And there have been drunken confessions but she's never ever hidden behind "I don't remember" the morning after.

And now I really want to write that and darn it I have other things in the queue! GAH!

I also have very changeable headcanons, so I've alternatively written Clint as someone who enjoys a good beer, and as someone who avoids alcohol for family history reasons (a la comics). If I am thinking of him drinking, then he likes to pretend to enjoy very 'manly' drinks- beer and whiskey only, thanks- but he secretly enjoys a good fruity cocktail. I mean, who wouldn't? Cocktails are delish. And he will have a little umbrella, thank you. Or maybe even two.

Natasha likes her wine, especially with a good meal. She does like vodka, but not nearly as much as the other agents think she does. Natasha plays up the stereotype because she thinks it's funny. Clint knows this, but he'd never tell. ;)

Completely agree with you about Natasha, vodka and the stereotype. Shared headcanon!

Natasha enjoys a nice spritzy sauvignon blanc, or a fat cab sauv with a meal. But when hanging with the boys, she is perfectly happy to drink beer straight from the bottle. Vodka she learned to drink in the Red Room because it was a tool of the trade, but she's not that fond of it (except when someone mentions her Russianness, in which case she is happy to oblige and turn up the cliche).

Clint is a beer drinker (he doesn't do the hard stuff because he saw what it did to his father, which is why always, always stops before he gets too drunk). Having travelled the world and spent a good amount of time in the UK, he prefers a nice meaty ale to that insipid pale stuff they drink in the US, but he'll take what he can get and knows how to order the least objectionable brew in about 76 countries. He will drink wine if Natasha makes him:

“You been here long?” Clint asks the Captain, picking a glass of red wine but unlike Steve, refraining from thanking the machine ( ... )
