So for starters, I got lost in that picspam link for a while. It predates my joining this lovely bar and I hadn't seen it before, and let's just say ... umm ... yeah. (Where was I?)

Also, I don't mind PWP. Honestly. They have their place in my life, so if you find yourself drifting in that direction, hooray for you, and I will read it ...

But if you want to avoid turning it into one, one possibility would be to turn this fic around -- rather than have this be the start, have it be the end - "the mission had been a disaster" is a possible hook. Give us the mission! Then you could have some good, solid angsty, plotty moments that ultimately get unravelled/resolved by That Look, and That Kiss.

PS: Glad to see unfinished fic Wednesday back -- it motivated me to turn a stump into an almost 30k-word, multi-chaptered story.
