Given that Assad permitted terrorists to pass through Syria en route to attack Americans and Iraqis in Iraq, I have a total lack of sympathy for the Assad regime. Hey, you know the really funny aspect of this all? Obama came to power probably thinking that he was going to be the best-buddy of those nicely radical Third World regimes, and so far he's been utter death on those regimes and has spread destruction throughout the Third World. If his intent was just to see a lot of Arabs turned into fertilizer, he couldn't have done it better, short of ordering a massive nuclear strike against all the cities of the Arab world!
