Apparently $700/mo buys a studio that, if I were to put my bed into it, would not allow the doors to the outside and the bathroom to open freely. YEAAAAH.

In retrospect, I suppose that's a little cryptic. I just meant you may want to look at a two-bedroom, and have someone else take the other room and split the rent, to make a bigger space more affordable. That's what I've always done in the Bay Area, although now I do it with my wife.
