Sometimes you don't need to travel too far to have an adventure. Heck, sometimes, you can have an unusual tourist-style adventure at a place where you work. This picture post is a case in point

That's beautiful, and so interesting; I've seen a lot of churches but I've never been inside a bell tower.

Twenty years ago, when I visited Paris, I queued in the line-up to ascend the staircase up to the tower of Notre Dame Cathedral. I imagine that was still possible very recently, until the fire took place.

Oh wow, that must have been something! I've been to Notre Dame, but never considered going up the staircase. I'm really phobic about heights, so I've probably missed out on some great things.
