my cousin just eloped over the summer. her and her husband had a small wedding in the middle of some sort of scenic place in tennessee (hell if i can remember what or where, considering i only saw the pictures). it was beautiful and it was just them, the minister, and the photographer. i'm kind of bummed i didn't get to see it, but i know they're glad they went that route.

That's the trade-off... people who would love to share the day with you don't get to.

But from the marrying couple's point of view, that disappointment is worth the reduction in hassle. (And you can always have a party later!)

Get the bargains book from S Dee. Don't try to make everything perfect--decide what's important to you and spend the most on that. Don't forget the honeymoon.

Yeah, I couldn't wait either. But there was so much to do beforehand that planning the 'moon took a back seat. I've heard other stories where people neglected it almost entirely because they got wrapped up in wedding plans. Hopefully, that won't be a problem for you guys.
