Interrupting your regularly scheduled program to bring you this important announcement that even in Korea, I still have to deal with stupid racist privileged ass white men ugh.
Haha thank you so much. It felt good to walk away with the truth resonating with them. I've always wanted to do that and I felt so comfortable to. Frustrating but rewarding experience
Well, you found my epic post on this and left a comment. I have to do the same, and I'm glad that you wrote about your experience.
It's really crazy that I wrote about this in 2006 and since then, I've gotten tons of comments. Of course, most of them have been supportive or people trying to understand that mentality. I've even gotten comments from white male friends of mine who are just mortified that I had to deal with silliness like that. So, as I wrote in my post, they're not ALL bad. However, I've also gotten some that try to imply that it's not common but an exception. Therefore, it's me because I'm a crazy defensive black woman...um, nope.
I'm glad now I'm gone, I'm being followed by other well-written, well-spoken and educated black folks. I think we're here to balance the universe a bit. ;)
I thought you would find it interesting. It's like we can't avoid them anywhere. I'm off to read more of your works as I try to plan another study abroad trip to Korea. I may have further questions to ask you. Thanks for stopping by. *off to add you :D*
