>>A smart rule. Yeah I've been talking to a lot of Koreans about skin bleaching creams and even at the Department stores they were selling it. It's really disheartening to see White Supremacy so entrenched in colored people's head
>>You're a really pretty girl, btw! Thank you so much :D
I actually just moved to South Korea 2 weeks ago and I can totally feel your journal and the comment made by ankhesen_mie. I actually would love to get together with a group of intelligent Nubian sisters and brothers, people of color in order for us to talk about things like this along with our personal experiences. I just joined live journal so I have not had a chance to dwnload my thgts but I will. I will be here in S.K for one year. How long are you staying? Please say a year! =-)
P.S. I would like to thank you for your journal entries. Just when I felt alone, you helped me realize that I am not!
Thank you so much for commenting. I see many Black women on the streets of Seoul but have not had the courage to ask them about their experiences, and it sucks sometimes to be the only Black woman in my program but I am so glad that I have an outlet such as livejournal and a community such as Blasian Narrative. May I ask what brings you to Seoul?
I unfortunately am just staying for 2 more weeks here in Seoul, but I wouldn't mind coming back. Where are you in South Korea, maybe we could meet up sometime. If you ever want to just talk, you are more than welcome to PM me about your experiences.

Bcbgrl33,
I am super glad that I found you when I did. Even-though it is not the year I was hoping for, I am still very grateful. I think.....no I know we should meet up. I will come out to Seoul next weekend. How does that sound? You pick the day (Sat or Sun)! I think that we should have our paper and pen out and seriously ask each and every Nubian (black) person we see about their experiences here. It could be in a blog or for our own personal growth, whatever. I am not the shy type so I think our personalities should mesh well. What do you say? I say let's go for it! I am located in Cheonan and even-though I have not traveled to Seoul before I know that it is 37 mins on the express train and I will find my way! I would love to get the chance to talk to someone who understands me and who is intelligent!

Yeah I think probably Sunday will be best as my program is taking us to Beijing from Wednesday til late Saturday night so Sunday would be perfect. I think you should get off at Hwegi station or Chanyongnei station either one is close to University of Seoul :D Oh and my cell phone number is 010-4972-4004 :D

I am a white Canadian man who finds black women very attractive, and will be moving to a suburb of Seoul to teach HS Math in a few weeks.
Any tips for meeting black women in Seoul? Best places? If you like you can email me at webslinger_999@yahoo.com
Thanks!
Chris
