Money Woes

Note to anyone out there looking for a house/apartment...NEVER get anything with fuel oil.  I'm so frustrated with my astronomical bills.  We've been averaging $250-$300 a month since we moved in here in October, 5-6x the max that I EVER paid for natural gas at my old apartment.  I got a little fee ticket today by the door...total for this month is ( Read more... )

Fuel Oil??

Seriously, I know you love your place, but that's almost 4x what I pay for AC in the SUMMER in Houston (and that's keeping it on 82 when I'm gone)! I didn't know that machines (like your heater) still operate on fuel oil. I would have passed out. How long is your lease? I guess you don't know what it is going to cost you until you live somewhere for a year...have you asked your neighbors if theirs is that high? Maybe you can talk to your landlord about sealing up some of the windows.

I am with you...WTF.

Sorry to hear all of this and I hope that the weather in Duluth turns warmer soon. Like Steph said, I guess you really don't know the cost of things until you live there for a year.
