I'm not sure what could really happen that would change the pace of this election much from how it's been going the past few days. I think it is absolutely critical for McCain if he has any shot remaining that Palin turn in an excellent, substantive debate tomorrow where she discusses policy position in depth. I keep reading that if Palin faulters tonight that she will back down as McCain's running mate... which makes me question if he were to get a new running mate this late in the race what it would do to his campaign.

I don't think they can afford to replace Palin 30 days before the election. That being said, while I thought Biden clearly won, Palin skirted by on the folksy appeal enough for McCain supporters to stem a little of the bleeding. I don't think its going to change poll numbers, but at least she managed to not look like a complete idiot.

Well... it's probably a good thing that McCain is so short and small... he was able to hide behind the podium and keep his hand up her ass while she played puppet.

Oops.

Yeah, I think MI was patently unwinnable anyway. The only reason his campaign stopped there is because of Jennifer Granholm's unpopularity, and potentially he might have been able to capitalize on a state that obviously wanted Hillary as the nominee after Obama pulled out.
