I second, third, and fourth this rec. Magicbunni is my favorite Sherlock author and one of the few I read over and over. It hurts that her stories don't seem to be getting the recognition they deserve, not to mention all the fans who are missing the pleasure of reading them. I think the first one starts a little slowly, but give it a real chance and you will be hooked, I promise.

Also, don't miss her teenaged Sherlock story, The Witch's Heart, which I think may be my favorite. I posted a review of it on crack-van, http://crack-van.livejournal.com/5837951.html

I've started reading "The Witch's Heart," and I'm already hooked. Tomorrow I'll rec this series on the Sunday Recday, and hopefully some more people will see it? I so selfishly want this author to write more, so I hope s/he gets tons of fan love. Plotting and characterization this exquisite deserve it! :)

Thanks so much for this rec, Shadow! I dived into the Baker Street series yesterday, and gobbled up three in a gulp (I was up until 2 in the morning).

This is excellent Sherlock fic: humorous, suspenseful, well-plotted, with inventive situations and memorable characters, excellent use of series regulars, and plenty of the Sherlock and John key-character interactions and development. Anyone who's enjoyed the BBC series and the original Conan-Doyle will really get a kick out of these original tales.

Thanks again for the rec. I hope many other LJ readers wander into this series. It's a good time well spent. Cheers.

Oooh, yay, I'm so glad you found and enjoyed the story! It really is excellent. I had to pace myself so I didn't run out too quickly, haha. I'm reading the author's other story, The Witch's Heart, at the moment, and it's awesome too.
