This is exciting! Is this the same story that you published as a fan fiction under the same title? Or is book 2 a previously unpublished continuation?
Also, do you have this on tumblr somewhere to pimp? And would you share this on the sherlock_bbc comm on Dreamwidth (http://sherlock-bbc.dreamwidth.org/) or can I have permission to post it there and on tumblr?
I happen to have read the fanfic -- well, TBH, I have the fanfic and have read and reread it to the point wherein I am at the point I need some time to pass before I can read it again because right now I have basically memorized the entire story. Practically line by line. It is WELL WORTH the price!!
One of the things that I particularly like about it -- just wish to put this out there -- is that while numerous authors can write Sherlock fanfics (which I enjoy), the ones that I like the best/enjoy the most are the ones where the author develops the characterization of Sherlock, John, et. al such that you stop seeing them as ACD or BBC Sherlock adaptations and start to see the specific characters that you have created. That is to say, while I wish to constantly stare at BC for the rest of my natural life, it would not be his interpretation of Sherlock that I am seeing bc your character is so detailed and precise.
Please that let community know what further stories you write bc clearly we would thrilled to read those as well!
I'm so happy you enjoyed it enough that you've read it more than once. That's always one of the best compliments an author can get.
And I appreciate the kind words about the fic. I loved writing it and while it's no longer canon compliant, I'm glad you think it stands on its own and tells a good story with well developed characters.

And, sadly, I don't have time to gush right now re how wonderous it was which is a shame bc, like one other story I was talking about some time in the last few weeks, this is also one of my tippy top fav Sherlock tales and I just didn't want to rush off and leave, with people thinking that your story was, you know, basically okay and stood up on its own
( ... )
It's hard to really say really nice things about something I've written, but I'm never too shy to read and react to kind words. I must confess I loved playing with these characters, seeing how far I could push and shove without breaking them completely. I wanted a balance between the hurt and the comfort. I'm glad you think I managed that. Thanks again.
