I like the story. I like the actor who plays freddie. I like the feel of it, but the chick's hair is more 60's that 50's. I was there..I remember.

I agree with most of your opinions. I don't think it's anything like Mad Men except for the "time-ish" period and the adultery sort of storyline. I quite like how different they are because I don't feel like I have to choose one over the other. Thanks so much for your thoughts! I really enjoyed reading it!

It's definitely not what I was expecting, because it was promoted so heavily as "Mad Men-esque." But I like it. The characters are not terribly complicated in an interesting way, as you point out with Bel's infidelities and the way Freddie leans toward "Nice Guy." But it has potential, and is gorgeous to look at, and the mystery aspect is progressing well.
