I loved the way you drew the characters, so outwardly independent and strong and yet underneath there's all this unsure torment and inner fears. Such a creepy tale and you piled on the horror with a fantastic sense of foreboding and I was deeply immersed in your world all the way along, wondering how on earth this could be happening and how on earth you were going to actually resolve it.
Wonderful, wonderful resolution, the dialogue between all the characters in the last chapter was a delight to read, their dry wit and cunning plotting came across as the perfect ending.
Thank you so much.

The great thing about writing fanfiction is that not much explanation re: their inner torments is required. I didn't explain anything about what Athos was going through, because we all know that he hanged his wife and was haunted and almost killed by her "ghost". And so Aramis' story was bound to resonate with him.
Glad the resolution worked for you. I planned to keep it ambiguous all along, because I think it's creepier that way - and because it was supposed to be psychological horror, rather than zombie-invasion horror.
Thanks again for your lovely comment :-)

Although I do have to agree that psychological horror is far creepier and menacing than you average actual zombie, so I was more than delighted with this.

I was a big fan of those old black and white horror films, back in the days when they used to be on television late at night, where nothing worse happens than darkness, shadows and the occasional rattling doorhandle. And so I tried to emulate this kind of atmosphere in the fic.
