So true, I wish him all the very best, I was quite unsettled by the news and some of his words gave me pause for thought and worried about his long term recovery, hopefully all is well. Such a wonderfully kind and considerate man who announced the news with calmness and grace, the world had a lucky escape as it would have been a much darker place without his smile.
Then this morning I find out that Frank Finlay, who played Porthos in the 70s films had died!
Wow.. I hadn't even heard of it, but I really hope he'll be okay... oh man... Of course it sucks for him that he lost that role, but better a role than his life. At least that's how I feel... I'm glad he had and has so many people in his life that support him!
Oh, absolutely and exactly his thoughts on the matter - life is precious and the most important thing we can ever have. I hope we'll see him smiling again soon.
It's certainly been kept very quiet until he was ready to share.
When Frank Finlay died yesterday there was such a lot of chatter about how sad it was people had lost their favourite Porthos and for one minute there... but yes, it's good as far as we know everyone is ok and Howard is on the mend.
