(We got an ask over on our Tumblr that we thought worth reproducing over here.)

Anonymous said: Would you ever consider moving off of Livejournal and to another journaling site? Dreamwidth, maybe? I know LJ's the classic, but it's really gotten harder and harder to use and is just a huge turn-off now.

That’s why we have our whole big ol’ websiteRead more... )

Most of my fandoms have moved to DreamWidth, due to multiple issues. The main one is the problem making any anon comments at all due to the spamtest on LJ failing to load quite regularly.

Other issues are lack of comment subject lines in most styles and the incredibly small comment character limit. Finally, there's the Russian control of LJ.

Hope this helps explain more.

When I was on LJ I used to love seeing SSBB posts pop up on my flist. I do miss that.

I've been to your website and it really is great and well designed, but I'm not going to use it simply because it's not linked to where I blog. A few weeks after I've been there, I've forgotten it even exists all over again. Human nature, I suppose.

...Well, uh, you're apparently in luck! I was going to refer you to our RSS feed at http://bb-shousetsu.livejournal.com/data/rss , but when I went to investigate more, I found http://bb-shousetsu-feed.dreamwidth.org/ !

Please pardon my tone of surprise, but not only do I not know who set this up, it was done in May 2009, before I took the helm of the project, so I literally did not know until about ten minutes ago that it existed. So there you go! You can also find sign up for our announcements newsletter, if you'd prefer to get reminders via email, but if you missed us on your dash, welcome back! It is, of course, only the RSS feed, and since we didn't set it up, I don't know how much control we have over its settings; similarly, we wouldn't get any comment notifications or the like, but I hope this is more along the lines of what you were looking for in terms of mirrored content ( ... )

Thanks for the link to the DreamWidth feed. I subscribed and look forward to seeing you there.

There's only two posts on your DW feed so far. I hope you'll be posting more, especially when the issues go live.

I'm not the biggest fan of Tumblr either. I think it's great for art, and for answering asks like this, but terrible for everything else. It's especially bad for posting fiction, except for posting links to it hosted elsewhere.

Cheers!

RSS feed accounts in LJ and presumably DW's code self-delete their posts after two weeks. Again, we have no control over this DW account. We did not create it.

I'm glad you're still here; I don't have time to keep up with more than one journal and most of the comms I'm in are still active here. I don't think it hurts to be in multiple places though, and I like the Goodreads notifications too.
