There's only ONE sure way: Repetition. Studying wont help a lot because its not the same thing. THINKING about the stuff is what helps. Teaching it to someone else, even if its in your head, works wonders too.
I mostly forget .... ummm... well, if I could remember what I always forget it wouldnt be a problem. :/
I have no trouble remembering how much I dislike certain people! And to eat. I never forget that!

im not sure if your project is about how to remmeber things in general, or specific whatever the class is. school work, names and faces, phone numbers, etc
the game thing is sort of one type of thing to remmeber, so make sure to have a more general part to your project. If that makes sense. lol
some ppl tend to wear their watch in the other hand, for example if you normally wear yer watch on yer left hand, by wearing it on the right hand, everytime u look for the time u know u have to remember something...
with today's technology most cell phones have calenders with reminders.
things u forget often... house keys, turning the tv off before leaving, cell phone, taking medicine.
and for the last one, my name.. j/k. passwords like bank accounts, or house security codes, feeding the dog, walking the dog, gym, pumping gas...
