I had to crack up when I heard this (unlikely) motivation ascribed to his comments...

Anonymous Liberal says, "[I]f we bring the same approach to health care that we brought to the banking industry, maybe in eight years or so, our health care system will completely collapse and the government will have to step in and take over. Voila! A national health care system. Brilliant."

Someone else was saying that the Republicans are starting to sound slightly like crypto-Communists, "bound on causing the government to take over the economy by making it fail one piece at a time." Again, unlikely -- but it's always weird when you see the right bending so far backward to deny reality that it starts to wrap around and look like the alleged liberal conspiracy at work. :)
