A wonderfully different scenario for the boys and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought Eames was incredibly manipulative but then Arthur went and outwitted him anyway!! Clever Arthur!!

And I must just mention the hotness, of course!

Plus...it's open-ended!!

Glad you enjoyed it! Eames is quite the manipulator, but then again, so is Arthur. Nothing is ever as straightforward as it appears :)

Ouch. Arthur manipulating Eames with sex to get the truth, and what a painful truth... I like that there's hope for a reconciliation, not just with the ending, but also with Eames talking about his dreams of Arthur (though of course Eames could be lying there to manipulate Arthur). It's unclear which is the cat and which is the mouse here, since both of them are so very sneaky. Very nicely done.

A painful truth indeed! Of course, the complicated part with Eames is that it's never clear quite what's true and what's a convenient fiction...

A constantly shifting game of cat and mouse is an excellent way to describe them, really. At one moment Eames might have the upper hand (or seem to) and in the next, Arthur.

Thank you for your thoughtful comment :)

This was a wonderfully fun read! Love the sci-fi setting (OMG MAL, brilliant!) and the fact that their relationship was still nebulous enough to not really be sure who was doing more manipulating. Lovely ending too! Eames is definitely a scoundrel, but I have a feeling that there aren't enough scoundrels in Arthur's life. ;-)

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the sci fi setting and the ending.

Eames is most definitely a scoundrel, and yet Arthur finds it so difficult to stay away...

I'm glad you enjoyed the slow reveal, and that you liked Eames' description in the beginning. Arthur's a bit doomed from the start even as he tries to keep his distance.

Thanks for the thoughtful comment :)

I actually liked it that the angst between them was real, that there wasn't just a misunderstanding, that Eames had really left and Arthur's feelings of betrayal were justified, but at the same time you gave us an open ending, a re-ignition of their passion and just the right amount of info about what had happened.

Yes, I definitely wanted to give Arthur & Eames a complicated history in this one with real stakes and real hurt. Eames is probably a bad bet to make, but Arthur just can't help getting sucked in again.

That's a fabulous AU! I loved it! You really captured Arthur's grumpy demeanour from the art, poor baby, but I'm glad he and Eames had some hot sex and come to an understanding *g* Nice hopeful ending, too! Very clever. MAL, LOL.
