Lucy Lawless and John Hannah? And then I hear that the show got the writing duo from the world of Whedon, Mo and Jed. Methinks I should watch this show.

Sounds like it's going to be great. The place where I got the photos/synopsis from said ...

"To show its faith in the show, Starz has already renewed Spartacus for a second season before the first one even started, which kind of makes me even more curious to check it out".
