Well, since it needs to be removed from inside your body, it hurts about as much as it would for any regular person... or animal. But the doctors make sure it's not that bad.

That's super nice of you! Miltank's mostly fine with hers in, but like, Clefairy can't use Metronome right now, which is totally horrible.

I understand. Both Togekiss and Garchomp are doing fine with only physical attacks so far, but in a place like this, we never know when we might need more than that.
