I always assumed Ghostcrawler was a dude myself.

It all started when one of the devs refered to him/her as a "she". You can find a lot of threads going " OMG GC IS A GIRL???" threads on the beta forums.

I personally would love to know that my favorite blue poster is a woman =)

Rumor has it that Ghostcrawler is the new name of a CM that was pretty well liked and female.
The first line suggests that Ghostcrawler is female, males don't really tend to hide their gender... but then... it shouldn't matter.
