I have to poll a whole lot of people for my Food for Thought assignment. Please take a few moments to fill it in for me. Thanks.

My current food choices are determined by medical necessity, more or less. As a child I assume it was my parents, but I couldn't tell you which.

And a further thought: I would like to change my food choices at some point to try the Failsafe diet (eliminating salicylates, amines, glutamates, artificial colours and some other food additives). But it's really difficult to do... Perhaps when money is no object and I can employ that cook...

I think I eliminate all that already.

I answered what I was eating now, not what I'd like to eat.

Well, if I had a gardener and a huge garden, I'd like to eat my own produce. I do produce eggs, citrus, tomatoes, cabbage and so forth, but I still get my box from Aussiefarmersdirect each week. So I'm really, pretty much eating the way I want.

Should eat more seafood though, although trying to get sustainable seafood is a struggle.

My current food choices are affected by the fact that I live with a confirmed carnivore. Who is the main cook in the household.

Incidentally, there definitely needs to be a spouse category in the section "Who influences your food choices now?" Or, at least, an "Other" category.

Yes. My spouse used to be vegie and I used to eat more meat; over the years we've met somewhere in the middle.

Yes, I thought of that later. Sorry. But I'm more than happy for people to add it to the comments box so that I can use it in the assignment. This was my first poll and I wasn't sure if I was doing it right.
