Everyone doing okay? I don't know if this is a flood or a gasleak or just something driving people a little crazy, but I figured I should check in anyway.

Anyone notice any turbulence? Got any theories? Figure we should get right down to it before people start really panicking.

[Buffy doesn't realize she's forgotten her sister yet. D:] I think I'm good? I haven't noticed anything. People are forgetting stuff, right?

[Awww Buffy D:] Yeah, seems like it. And there doesn't seem to be much of a pattern. Some people know the Barge but are forgetting stuff from back home, and some people don't know where they are or how they got here. Seems like if this was a flood, it would be a little more uniform.

Huh. Anyone interrogate Barron yet? He pulled a crazy memory shift on me a little while back.

I don't think so. You think he's capable of doing it to this many people?

Might be. He did it to a bunch of people before. I think he forgets stuff a lot because of it though. So interrogating might not work.. [Shrug.] Just an idea.

... If Baron's powers make him forget stuff, how would we be able to tell if he's used his powers recently or if he's just being affected by this too?

That's the problem, probably not a way to tell.

What I do know? I've got a bad feeling about this.

I do too. Seven suggested running people by him and seeing if there's any kind of mental instability, but I'm not really sure how to actually wrangle people over his way. And then there's the chance he's affected or I am too and we just don't know.

I don't know. I just have this bad gut feeling. And because my gut feelings have been proven to be pretty on the nail in the past? There's something very wrong. Maybe beyond just the memories being lost thing. My first instinct is to look for something demony, but..

I trust Seven, but yeah, you're right. He could be affected too. Any of us could be. [Pause.] Okay, my skin just did that crawly thing.

Can demons from your world alter memories like this?

Yeah. Not even demons, sometimes- [Buffy pauses. Then looks completely confused. The monks that created Dawn's memories are erased from her memory too. But there was a fragment there like common knowledge that slipped away as soon as she tried to think about it.] Wait.

[She shakes her head with a blank expression.] I don't know what I was saying. [Her eyes widen. Oh crap.]

[More big eyes. She looks down and away, trying not to freak out.] I-I think I forgot something too. Part of that gut feeling? I feel like I need to be protecting something, or someone or.. [She swallows hard.] I don't know what.

[She looks up and nods weakly, concern and confusion written on her face.] Yeah. It seems normal, all of it.

I just... If this isn't a flood, and it's not a warden or inmate doing this intentionally, it has to be something someone's encountered before. I'd think.
