The short answer to why I can't draw him shirtless is I'm a flaming prude. The long answer is I just can't picture the Joker without clothes on. Being naked is to be fleshy, pink, and human. It's sort of contradictory because I imagine the character would be completely comfortable running around Gotham in his birthday suit, but for visual storytelling purposes when he's interacting with other characters it would just make him look too... human.

I guess. XD
