Love the update- the continued fight feels really like what would happen after that sort of bombshell. It's not tender or mushy but it's still a fractious blending of purpose, with really nice perspectives for both of them. I really like it- it feels in character.

oooh yay!

just a small suggestion, some of the sentences are long, so a comma would help. and some apostrophes here and there also.

but other than that, boo on Batman hitting the Joker in the face, especially when he's telling the truth. >_< bad Batsy, you made the Joker cry *wibble*
