Awww, when I saw the notification in my email that you had posted to this comm, I got excited thinking it would be resurrected haha.
What, was LJ going to delete the comm unless you posted?
I've been thinking about this group lately in this new age of Batman franchises. DCEU, Gotham, and animated series like DC Super Hero Girls and Justice League Action (neither of which I have watched yet).
Do you think restarting the group on Tumblr might be more viable than LJ, if I were to try to restart it that is?
I'm actually in the process of archiving everything over at AO3, and realized a lot of stories are only posted here, so I don't want to lose them if the new LJ owners start purging inactive journals. I thought other people might have a similar problem.
You and I also put a lot of work into the comm, and I don't want it going anywhere!
Pretty much anywhere would be more viable than here. Even Instagram or Snapchat, if it were feasible. The comm and fandom were not sustainable (even the main batman comms like batfic are empty) even before the recent change.
I know there is fandom out there somewhere, but I have no idea where. The ship--so to speak--sailed without me to greener pastures. How's that for a mixed metaphor?
You could always start with Dreamwidth, at least it's similar to LJ. I have no idea how active DC fandom is over there, but I'm sure there's something.
If ya'll do decide to ever resurrect this community elsewhere, I'd love to be part of it still! I'm never on LJ anymore though I doubt anyone else really is either.
I think I crossposted most of my fic over to FF.net but my longer pieces are over on AO3. :)
I have no idea where the DC fandom writing community is anymore tbh. I miss fanfic contests so much!
