I like a bit of all-dialogue fic, and this conversation did an excellent job of setting the scene and filling out what other characters are up to without seeming forced. Kudos!

I wonder if Tim had a bit more "specialist equipment" than just mountain climbing stuff in his room? If he did hopefully it would be well hidden away where a casual search by the authorities wouldn't find it. A whole bunch of bat-themed gadgets and toys would be more difficult to explain away!

Thanks for your comments. Always good to avoid "forced."

There's a moment in the first Red Robin volume when Tim thinks about his special suitcase that hides his costume and tools from airport scanners. Yeah. Like the grapples and the ropes swinging from nowhere and the capes that grow and billow as needed, it's a part of the mythology that we just have to accept.

But I mused that traveling with recognizable mountain-climbing equipment might camouflage some of the more specialized bat-stuff.

Tim is awesome for sure, outsmarting everyone, always being a step ahead. But yeah, I agree with alocin42, I hope his equipment wasn't too "special"!

Your all-dialogue stories are very enjoyable.

Thanks for the comments. This had to be an all-dialogue story, I realized afterward, because Tim has already figured out so much there wouldn't be any twists or reveals if we were privy to his thinking.

The one area where I imagined Tim stumbling is when it comes to talking about his family situation.
