The minute it comes out as a cologne, it's my signature scent.

Such as "Buggre Alle This Bible" (Crumbling paper and ancient cracked leather with a touch of tobacco leaf and incense). Or "Trevor Bruttenholm" (A classic men’s cologne mixed with the scent of old, yellowed books, a splash of bay rum, and summoning incense).

Old books as a scent - not sure about that one, BB. I'm stocktaking at work right now and I have been removing some of the older books which aren't borrowed. They smell too.

There's a show on German TV called Wetten, dass... It means something like "I bet" and people bet that they can do the weirdest things. I always said that I could go and bet that I'd recognize quite a few of my books by smell alone and that isn't because they're mine. Most of all the Riverside Shakespeare. I can smell it in every shop.
