White Scar Information and Links to One-shots
Since I'm now writing over at runaway_tales, I decided to draw up a post for each of the originals I'm writing for on that community and link to the oneshots I write.
My originals aren't going to be flocked anymore, especially not my Big Bang work.
Let's start with...
White Scar
White Scar is a sci-fi set in a dystopian, future, post-apocalyptic world. Two thirds of the world have been destroyed by a biological weapon, which left a white scar in its wake. Those who didn't die when the bomb dropped mutated into horrible creatures called Cherabrims. Now, fifty years after the bomb was detonated, there are teams lining the Scar, each working for a branch of the Government called the X Organisation, and the story itself, White Scar, focuses on the X5, a team dedicated to finding a cure for the White Plague and restoring the Scar to its former glory.
Characters:
Danielle (Danni) Jordan
Twenty-six years old, Danni has wanted to be a part of the X5 as far back as she can remember. She left school at 16 - running away with Alec, who was on the run at the time - and joined the X5 two years later. She started off as a cleaner - waiting for her security clearance to come through - before working her way up to the military branch and getting her commission.
Now she's staged a coup, having discovered the General in charge's plans for building new biological weapons, and is running the X5 with the help of her friends. She is also infected with the plague and dying.
Danni has dark hair to her shoulders with a fringe and dark green eyes. She's pretty and popular. It's hard to not like her.
Alec
Alec's age is unknown. He's a Shaw's Droid, neither human nor strictly an android, and is the resident technical expert in the X5 as well as Danni's oldest, most loyal and closest friend. Originally just the coffee boy - his security clearance not yet through, since he doesn't have a human number - he's now in charge of keeping everything ticking over and faking General Snider's presence to the rest of the world.
Alec is not particularly tall, but gorgeous. He has longish, light-brown hair, but not past his ears, with fringy bits falling down a little over his forehead and covering up his temples, disguising the "A" brand that lies beneath. He has green eyes.
Dr. Lisa Warren
Lisa is the doctor in charge of trying to find a cure for the White Plague. She's a driven woman with utter determination on her side. However she falls victim to Jesse Durrell, falling in love with her even when she shouldn't, and releasing her when she should be kept in holding.
Lisa has red hair, green eyes and a kind face. She's much older than Danni and was once her teacher when she was sixteen and in high school.
Corporal Benjamin Fisher
Originally deeply annoyed by Danni's mere presence, let alone how she acts, Ben finds himself falling in love with her once she starts running the X5. After being stabbed, he becomes much closer to Danni, who begins to realise how scared she is of losing him, and they share a bed most nights in a platonic manner. Ben is the leader of the X5 team Danni was a part of and doesn't know that she is dying from the plague.
Ben is quite muscular, with dark hair and blue eyes. He's kind, sweet and a little taller than Alec.
Jesse Durrell
Jesse was originally a cleaner at the X5, who got into a relationship with Lisa. Later on, however, we find out there is more to her than meets the eye. She's working for the S.E.F. (Scar Expeditionary Force) who are a rogue band of people who broke off from the X Organisation many decades before. She's in the X5 to take it down from the inside, instead of to help cure the plague.
Her plans to keep herself detached from emotional feelings towards the members of the X5, however, were debunked when she found herself falling in love with Lisa.
Jesse is fit, and blonde with blue eyes. She acts ditzy but once she doesn't have to put up a fake persona anymore she is actually quite sinister.
Devon Moore
Before Danni began living at the X5, she used to ride her motorbike at the track run by Devon. When she told him she wouldn't be returning, he followed her to the X5 and ended up trapped inside when she put it into lockdown. Now he's trying to make the best of a bad situation and has started hanging out with Alec, who he's falling slowly in love with. He doesn't know his boyfriend is a Shaw's Droid and doesn't really get half of what goes on at the X5, but he tries anyway.
Devon is much taller than Alec and a bit taller than Ben, with very dark hair and eyes. He's tough, muscular but nice. He's one of Danni's best friends.
Raven (Adanya Brooke)
Raven is a girl Lisa found roaming the Scar. No one knows how she got there or if she's infected with the plague; all they know is that she doesn't understand English, can't talk, can't read and doesn't trust people. Except Lisa.
Raven is dark haired, dark eyed and young. She's attractive and has a habit of walking around in nothing but Lisa's labcoat (buttoned up) and carrying a stick to hit people with.
Christopher (Chris) Lynch
Chris saves Danni's life in book 3 and somehow finds himself thrust into her world - with or without his consent. He helps Ben and Danni to find a new body for Alec and bring him back to them. He's kind, charming and suave, can kick ass when he needs do and is a friendly sort with a secret.
Chris is a little shorter than Devon, with a shock of blonde hair and blue eyes. He's muscular but not overly so.
Erica Martin
The next doctor in charge of the X5's medical department after Lisa, Erica is intelligent, dedicated and knows what she's doing. She takes over after Lisa is gone and works even harder than her to find a cure for the plague. She looks after Danni when she's sick and used to date Ben (off screen).
Erica is blonde, brown eyed, taller than Danni and Lisa and slender.
Alice MacMillian
Alice wakes up in the 22nd century one day with no memory of the last fifty years, no recollection of the world exploding and a whole other guy's mind in with her own, sharing her body.
Alice has thick brown hair with a fringe, green eyes like Alec's and freckles. She's chunkily built but still has a good figure.
