That was so sweet! Totally reccing to my kid, she'll love it. Especially the duck (almost typed 'dick').

The magpies, Mycroft and Anthea? Or Jim and... someone else.

Btw, Roadblock as the name for the swan and the choice of a swan and duck with a missing wing was absolutely brilliant!

heh! In the first story, there is reference to the duck's meter-long penis (ducks are terrifying that way) and some violence. Not sure how old the youngun is, so it's up to you to decide if that's appropriate.

Oh! She's 20, and she loves Sherlock/John beyond reason, so she can take it. I just call her a kid because... well she's my kid.

And yeah, ducks can be scary like that. She would just say that it fits with her idea of John as the biggest BAMF in one of the smallest packages on the show. She loves that John can, and will, kick ass with extreme prejudice, all while looking very normal, deceptively mild mannered, and even cute in his cuddly jumpers. But he's had bad days!

Seriously, we adore Martin Freeman. Short people unite!

Okay, now that I've read the first part I see my first guess was right. Really nice, very cute series you have. I still don't know how I never thought about how much Sherlock is like a swan in behaviour and looks! I keep thinking of the wings as his big sweepy coat.

yes, you were right about the magpies! Mycroft just isn't a swan. And thank you.

Just wanted to be sure. With that in mind, I really love them trying to take the camera. :-)

Hah! I'd actually read the first one before my mom rec'd it. I'm well ahead of her on that front. Eitherway, I loved the first one and the second one is just more of the same. :) Adorable. I loved Lestrade's daughter, Mina, "humoring" him in the conversation about not having to have a wife! Too cute! And so many times during the course of the fanfiction, I couldn't help but go, Awww! for poor Not-Named-John Duck! I do admire how, even as a duck, you managed to make John completely in character! Sherlock is as well but it really shows through with John. :) Thank you for the fantastic read!

Bas, this is my kid. :0) She's a John/Martin Freeman fan of the first order.
