Please write this, it would be great. I mean, so far I've only read the start of the Authority, so I'm a bit confused about the kid, but still. This would be a lot of fun.
Jenny Sparks is the spirit of the century, so she dies when the century is up. She's reborn as Jenny Quantum without her memories and with different powers, and she's adopted by Apollo and the Midnighter.
She calls Midnighter "Daddy Midnight" in Volume Two, which I find unbearably cute.
Nothing beyond a few scans that were posted to scans_daily My pimpdaddy (TM) has been threatening to pimp it at me for a while but he's currently distracted by his impending wedding. (Come to think of it I'm distracted by his impending wedding, considering I'm best man woman, but not to quite the same extent.)
Still, I'm sure my local Excessively Disturbing Comics Shop will have something. (It's one of those shops with sticky brown carpets and people who cower against the wall at the sight of a Real, Live Woman.)
Well--the thing with the Authority is that the stories sort of suck, but the Big Gay Love is a glory to behold. I would recommend starting from the beginning: Relentless TPB.
Or--Stormwatch: A Finer World TPB, which is where Apollo and the Midnighter. Stormwatch is the team from which the Authority sprang. The story of Apollo and the Midnighter starts with nudity. *heart*
I would recommend against starting in the middle. The artwork gets iffy-to-suck after Ellis leaves (bring me the head of Frank Quitely!) and the stories get harder to read. For me, the Big Gay Love is worth it, but I'd hate to see you scared off. *grin*
If your local Scary Comic Shop doesn't have them, I recommend Mile High Comics. Inexpensive, very fast shipping--free if you order over $40--plus TPBs are currently 40% off.
LOL! Oh my... ((((BigGayLove)))) I'm probably too in love with Apollo and Midnighter (I contemplated throwing rice for the wedding) but what the hell... a married couple with child as canon? What's not to love? *snerk*

Flash: *falls in love with Girl Flash*
I'm with Flash on this one.
And that's it. I'm off to the Really Disturbing Comics Shop tomorrow to see what they've got in the way of The Authority.

And ooh. Have you read any Authority at all?
