"Saddam Hussein Guilty, Sentenced to Hang"

Great! Now when do the trials for Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld start?

I know there is some odd gramatical rules regarding hanging... b/c you don't say hung - I believe you say hanged. But shouldn't that say "Saddam Hussein Guilty, Sentenced to Hanging" ?????

-anyways, there are a heck of alotta politicians & leaders of nations that should get the same treatment as Saddam.

Why does the media always call him Saddam Hussein on first reference & then only Saddam on the next references..? In any other case it goes George Bush & then later he is just Bush. Why isn't Saddam like this..?

I think it's just hang. I assume it's the same as if you were to say, "go hang that painting up on the wall"

And yeah, media does often call him by his first name. I suppose it's a way of disrespecting him or something.

To quell your optimism...

...justice is a funny thing in a place where the courts are seen as illegitimate by a lot of people and their rule of law bleeds quickly into anarchy...

i mean, hi, i'm back!

Hi Jon. Good to have you back. I enjoyed reading your stories about Uganda that were posted on the CBC website.
