the election and autism

If I have to hear one more time about how if McCain/Palin get elected, the families of special needs children will have a friend in the White House, I think I may vomit.  I just finished watching the debate- and McCain went on and on about how he respects Palin for everything she does for special needs children.  And how we need to do research on ( Read more... )

I totally agree - and thought the same thing. Also, I don't think Palin, with a 6 month old son, has ANY idea what she's in for with a special needs kid. She's only beginning to find out.

Also, she's the mother of a special needs kid on the campaign trail - who is taking care of this baby while she's out courting the public? Not her, that's for sure. Priorities.

exactly... she is in for a rude awakening when her son gets older and she's not in office, be it in alaska, or god forbid they win the election. and of how many times she's said there will be a friend in the white house- she has never once said what that 'friend' will do for those families.
