Mota for Estrada

Sure Estrada isn't great...but the Mets just rid themselves of the #1 reason they collapsed!

to make this funny...this poll has been up for a couple of weeks on Metstradamus

Most of us Mets fans felt a small Orange Julius is fair trade value for Mota.

mets, off-season moves, brewers, trades

Yeah, but Estrada is still a .280 hitter.

Besides, this trade helps the Mets just getting rid of Mota. The last time Omar wanted to dump off a player on another team we ended up with John Maine.

youre still forgetting the point that we actually got someone to give the Mets a serviceable player for Mota.

You know, when I hoped the Brewers would find some more pitching, I didn't mean this kind of pitching.

Now if we were in the Lo Duca hunt (which we ain't) I may have felt sliiiightly better about this.

Any news about Damian Miller? ::desperate::

Estrada threw out 7% of runners trying to steal against him. Have fun having Jimmy Rollins steal 6 bases a game, LOL.

Basically this is your shiny new trash for our old stinky trash. The fact this means we will sign Jason Kendall makes me feel blah, lol.

"On Oct. 4, Estrada had arthroscopic surgery to repair the torn medial meniscus in his right knee, and he also had a bone spur removed from his right elbow. Sports orthopedist James Andrews performed both procedures. The elbow surgery should aid him considerably in catching base-stealers. This past season, Estrada caught just 11 of 84 runners, a lowly 13 percent, but in 2006 with Arizona, he caught 27 of 93, a more acceptable 29 percent."

I would've been amazed if we got that much.

I was hoping for his release.

Consider that Orange Julius tastes like Orange plup. (that's right, I said plup)
