i realize that i missed much of the Flickr issue, since i didn't see the original post and commentary on Flickr (i'm having to fill in the gaps a bit, so i don't want to rush to judgment). But the JPG thing makes me sad. Sad and disappointed at how much people can suck.
Basically, a popular Flickr user claims some of her work was stolen and sold at a profit by an art dealer, she posted to her Flickr account about it, hoping to get some assistance.
Flickr deleted the post and the roughly 450 comments that went with it, claiming a TOS violation. Flickr has since apologized to her, but I think they've still got trouble for deleting it in the first place. I think people are agitating for a reason to see Yahoo overlords as evil and while they could have done worse, this seems fairly big.
I don't know the other halves of the story, but there's more here.
