As per usual, I nominate Dead Sara, In This Moment, and Lissie Maurus for women in rock.

Killing Joke, Talking Heads, Devo, Foo Fighters, Faith No More in punk/alternative.

Nevermore, Dio, Dream Theater, Devin Townsend in metal.

Rush, Rolling Stones, The Who, The Monkees for classic rock.

Let's see how many of these get seconded.

Of course putting Bieber in Women in Rock isn't right. It would imply that Bieber is rock.

How do you not know any women rockers?

Don't know if they are rockers. Of course, I know from your list Janis Joplin, Diana Ross, Cher, Madonna, Aretha Franklin, Bjork, but I cannot associate them with rock. These are jazz, blues, r&b, pop artists for me. I'm not a big specialist of music genres and how they cross or include each other.

Janis can definitely be rock, and Bjork can definitely be alternative
